Under the Gaza Emergency 2023 Program, FolkSafi partnered with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) to deliver vital food assistance to Palestinian refugees across the Gaza Strip. The initiative focused on the supply, storage, and delivery of 250,000 food kits to support vulnerable families facing food insecurity during the crisis.
The project was financed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSRelief), reflecting a shared commitment to humanitarian aid and regional stability.

FolkSafi delivered full operational and logistical management throughout the project phases, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and transparency in coordination with both UNRWA and KSRelief. Our efforts were central to the project’s success in meeting humanitarian objectives under challenging field conditions.
- Managed the end-to-end procurement and quality assurance of all food commodities with approved suppliers.
- Supervised the kitting and packaging operations conducted in Egypt under strict hygiene and safety standards.
- Oversaw storage, handling, and transport logistics to ensure safe movement of goods through the Karam Abu Salem crossing.
- Coordinated customs and documentation processes to comply with international relief shipment protocols.
- Maintained constant communication with UNRWA field teams for timely and controlled distribution to Gaza beneficiaries.
Through this collaboration, FolkSafi contributed to improving food access for thousands of families while upholding accountability and humanitarian delivery standards.
